During an evacuation in Zwammerdam, one of our employees not only made a special but also very dangerous discovery. In the shed was an old manger with a wooden plank attached to it. When the shelf was lifted up by our employee, he saw that there was something in it that didn't belong there. A mortar shell from the Second World War. Naturally, we immediately informed the police, after which they immediately arrived on the scene to identify the mortar shell. It turned out to actually be a real mortar shell. The police then called in the Defense Explosive Ordnance Disposal Service (EOD) to dismantle and remove the grenade.
